Well, Halloween is over and the holidays are upon us! I have always loved the holidays and all that comes with it. I am one of those who swears the smell of the air changes when November rolls in. Never did a scientific test; however, my senses tell me I'm right:)
November is the time you begin to give a second look to the subtle Holiday items that have been in stores since July, and you no longer feel as if you are being pushed toward the end of the year. I guess it's true that Marketing departments have their finger on our buying pulses. Actually, there are people who have completed all of their holiday shopping and wonder why we didn't start earlier. Good for them I say. If you love something and enjoy preparing months in advance, 'why not' as long as it brings you enjoyment. If enjoyment isn't a part of the equation; you may want to rethink your "faux" pleasure.
Anyway, enjoy this first day of November and do me a favor: Step outside and smell the air. Let me know if you can smell the difference between October and November. I want to know if I'm the only person in the world who can smell the difference. Enjoy your weekend!
Until the next time,
