Les Brown is one of my favorite inspirational speakers. I was having an overcast day and came across this video that I felt was worth sharing.Usually my overcast days are the result of me looking at so-called reality. I begin to look at the monies I'm spending and questioning whether I should be chasing this dream of building and being sustained by my own creations. Its hard because you never want to put yourself or your loved ones in harms way.
However, after listening to Les, I realize that I must always remain flexible as I go about building my dream of becoming the number one source of products and information for faith based or nonprofit organizations. Flexibility is key because our businesses are nimble enough to change course and still remain within the goal of our Mission Statement. It hurts when we have to change course because we want to have a straight line toward our destination. There is no straight line and we must be willing to "do what we must" to making the achieving of our goals as easy as possible on everyone who is supporting us. While we are are dedicated and focused; we must not be selfish to the point of throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
It hurts when we have worked so very hard and did the things that were required both mentally and physically and to our dismay: No tangible result! Its a moment that unless you have built something and expected success cannot be explained. I hope this video will bring you comfort as it did for me. I realize that I must alter my course and fully FEEL that "It's Not Over Until I Win."
Until the next time,
