As travelers on this path called life; we encounter many battles along the way. The question becomes: 'Which battle should we fight and which battle should we let pass.'
That's a major question, because, many of us "choose" to fight EVERY BATTLE that comes our way. Then we ask "why is my life always in a state of turmoil?" Consider the word 'turmoil.' The definition is: "A state of uneasiness and usually resentment brewing to an eventual explosion." "A state of discomposure, agitation, commotion, disorder, disturbance and "an interruption of regular peace."
Life has battles. However, we must resist attempting to fight each and every one that appears on our path. If we are not choosing wisely, then our life is a "constant interruption of regular peace." I don't know about you but I choose not to have a constant state of resentment brewing. I'm not interested in preparing myself for the battles which mean 'ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in my plans to 'stand in my greatness.' Standing in greatness is a battle unto itself: So why waste precious thoughts and energy on anything less!
Thought you may enjoy Joel Osteen discussing 'choosing your battles.' I enjoy it because I can listen without the aide of a visual which allows me to focus intently on the message.
Be at peace and choose your battles wisely!
Until the next time,
Peaceful thoughts
