I spent my week thinking about the word faith. While I know the meaning of the word; I began asking myself "do I really have faith.?" The Bible says "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." So, with that quote I began to look at the individual words within the quote. Assurance is a guarantee. Hope is an expectation. Conviction is having belief. Things Not Seen means "not physically visible."
Still, what does that mean? After thinking about it I came to this conclusion: "I am guaranteed that whatever it is that I am not seeing will become visible to me whether in a mental or physical state as long as I expect and believe that it is so." This to me is faith.
No one can help me with this. I can read my guidance books and recite affirmations until the sun becomes blue, however, the work must be within me. I must believe that what I am asking for is guaranteed because I am convinced that it is true and I fully expect it to become visible in whatever form I am seeking. Again, the work is within me and cannot be gained from the outside. This to me is faith.
There comes a point in all of our lives that a leap of faith must be taken. I'm not speaking of foolish leaps which would cause harm to ourselves or those we love. I speak of the leaps that are good for all concerned. With that being said; we must tell ourselves that we are guaranteed victory for what we hope for and we must expect that it will be experienced by us. We must believe that what we seek to happen is already real.
I found this :32 second video on a leap of faith. This video demonstrates the leap of faith we must take to realize victory. While you may feel it doesn't apply to your life; rewind and take another look. And do yourself a favor and re-look again!
Until the next time,
